JOIN US BY THE RIVER
Yoga By the River is a recurring outdoor wellness series produced by Ourspace Foundation in collaboration with BLK Yoga Collective.
Held on the fourth Saturday of each month from May through September, the series activates the Lansing riverfront as a dedicated space for community wellness, movement, and restoration. Each session takes place on Lansing Shuffle’s Patio, overlooking the Downtown River Trail, offering participants an accessible, scenic, and welcoming environment to engage in guided yoga practice.
Each session features certified yoga instruction designed to be beginner friendly and accessible to all experience levels, accompanied by a live DJ curating an R&B and neo-soul soundtrack designed to support a grounded, intentional flow. No prior experience is necessary — instructors guide participants through each movement with care and clarity. The series regularly welcomes guest instructors from across the region, alongside recurring instructor Dymon Wilson.
Yoga By the River reflects Ourspace Foundation's broader commitment to activating public spaces for community benefit — creating recurring programming that brings wellness resources directly into the neighborhoods and landscapes where people already live, work, and gather.
